–Chartiers Valley-10 Freeport-9 in overtime. First-ever appearance for the Yellow Jackets, who came back froma five-goal deficit to the tie the game midway thru the 4th quarter.

The Butler Junior High Boys and Girls Track and Field teams competed for the final time over the weekend at the Altoona Middle School Championships. The girls brought home the trophy for the second straight year, back to back champions. The boys finished with a 4th place finish. Twenty-eight different teams were there competing. The boys were led by Byron Manchester and Skyler Vavro. Each of them placed in four events.
