Bowling: Butler swept Knoch 7-0.
The Butler boys were led by junior Shawn Marcellus who rolled a 591 series and high game of 231. Senior Nick Huff added a 223 high game. Joshua Rearick led Knoch with a 532 series and high game of 190.
Knoch’s Chelsea Cimbala had a 587 series and a high game of 238.
Junior Mercedes Belch led the Butler girls with a 562 series. Junior Nicole Nebel rolled the high game for Butler with a 225, part of her 558 series. Sophomore Jordyn Graham had a 531 series. Junior Abby Kyle added a 221 high game and 510 series.
Both teams improved to 3-0 and host North Allegheny Wednesday (12/21/16).
The Pennsylvania Sports Writers have released their All-State football teams for 2016.
Quarterback Kameron Patterson and Tight end A.J. Turner of Grove City has been selected to the 5-A team, along with Zane Dudek, Armstrong running back who was named the 5-A Player of the Year.
