High School Sports Results from Monday:
Girls Golf:
–Butler defeated Kiski 193-205 and have won the Triple-AAA Section-1 title. Hannah Folk was medalist with a 42. Maggie Feczko had a 45. Folk and Feczko will compete in the WPIAL Triple-A Individual Finals tomorrow at Diamond Run Country Club in Sewickley. The team will compete in the WPIAL Triple-A team championships next Monday at Lone Pine Country Club in Washington.
The Butler Boys golfers finished runner-up at the Tam-O-Shanter high school Invitational Monday. 25 schools competed. Tarik Taofik led Butler with an 80. Nick Penrod shot 81.
Girls Soccer:
–Butler defeated Shaler 6-2. Five different goal scorers for Butler. Britany Spihaler scored twice. Butler continues to hold on to a playoff spot in Class-4A Section-1.
–Freeport defeated East Allegheny 2-0. Kaylee Comperatore and Abby Bastaja scored the Yellow Jackets goals, as they improved to 8-0 in their section, and 11-2 overall.
–Karns City-10 Keystone-0. Haley Scherer had five goals for the Gremlins.

Local bowler Craig McCandless rolled a 299 last Thursday int he Jim Charlton Memorial Men’s League at Mars Lanes – Craig left a 10-pin on his final pitch.He ended with an even 700 series.
