Mars high school graduate Nick Edinger won the City of Pittsburgh’s Great Race Sunday. The 25-year old Edinger now lives in Ohio. He had a stand-out collegiate career at Geneva College. Jennifer Bigham of Squirrel Hill won the women’s 10K.

Boys Soccer:
Freeport defeated Burrell 5-0 Saturday and have improved to 8-0 overall. 7-0 in their section. Kevin Lynch and Bryce Hanby scored two goals each for the Yellow Jackets.
Girls Soccer:
Freeport-2 Apollo-Ridge-0. Cameron Lindsay and Olivia Gaspersic scored the Yellow Jacket goals. Freeport held Apollo-Ridge without a shot on goal.

Boys Golf:
Butler fell to North Allegheny by one stroke Friday – 207 to 208 at Butler Country Club. Butler’s Nic Leone led all golfers with a 36. The Golden Tornado golfers host Armstrong today.
