–Butler defeated Central Catholic 5-1.
–The Butler Junior Varsity team fell to Central Catholic 9-7 at Historic Pullman Park. Josh Bonetti and Braden Marcellus led the Golden Tornado with a double and two RBI’s each. Butler is now 6-6 overall, and host Pine-Richland at Highfield today.
–North Allegheny defeated Seneca Valley 4-3 with a walk-off single in the eighth inning.

The PIAA District 9 committee has told the DuBois Central Catholic softball team they must forfeit nine games this season due to of an administrative error, the
The problem for DuBois Central was that paperwork on one of its players who transferred to the school this year hadn’t been filed properly.
The decision will have a major impact on the District 9 Class 1A softball playoff seedings. DuBois and AC Valley are battling for the top seeds. DuBois will still be eligible for the playoffs, but will now be dropped to around a six seed.
