Butler high school hockey team defeated Canon-McMillan 6-2. Freeport-4 Bishop McCort-3.
The Butler Middle School Ice Hockey team defeated Sewickley Academy 6-1 Monday at the Robert Morris Island Sports Complex. John Dasch had two goals and an assist. Jerome Oliver and Troy Gilliland each had a goal and three points. Butler went 2-for-3 on the power play and had 39 shots on goal. Bryce Rearick had 12 saves in net for the Golden Tornado. Butler improved to 8-1-1 overall and will meet Seneca Valley Friday at 7:50pm in Warrandale. The Raiders are 7-0-2.
The Butler Rifle team fell to Hempfield 798-792. Top shooters for Butler were: Brendan Lefevre, Matthew Corlew, Cameron Tack and Kyle Wassum.
Shaler swept the Mars swim teams.
