The Butler Tennis team defeated Armstrong 5-0 in their final match of the season Monday.
–Butler’s Matt McMaster defeated Noland Turko of Armstrong 6-0/6-0 in #1-Singles.
–Butler’s Nate Errington defeated Armstrong’s Caiden Dunlap 6-1/6-0 in #2-Singles.
–Elijah Errington of Butler defeated Armstrong’s Gio Romeo 6-0/6-1 in the #3-Singles match.
–The Butler doubles team of Trevor and Tyler Bell defeated Armstrong’s Chase Anthony and Johna Shafer 6-0/6-0.
–Butler’s #2-doubles team of Reed Krueger and Jake Zangas defeated Armstrong’s Dane Taylor and Jace Rearic 6-4/7-6.
The Butler Junior high Track & Field team won the Butler Junior high Invitational by edging North Allegheny in the final race of the day. Butler’s Byron Manchester was named the day’s track MVP, winning four medals at the meet. Manchester broke the meet and school record in winning the 300-meter hurdles, and also won the 110-meter hurdles, triple jump and was part of the winning 4×400-meter relay which included Guinness Brown, Steven Green and Skyler Vavro. Josh Fry on the pole vault and Tyler Rekich won the long jump. Butler had 19 place winners in the meet.
