High School Sports Scores from Wednesday:
Girls Golf:
–North Allegheny’s Caroline Wrigley won the WPIAL Class 3A Championship at Diamond Run. Wrigley shot a -5 under par 67 to win over Lauren Freyvogel of Pine-Richland, who shot a -1 under 71. Natalie Welsh of Mars was sixth overall with an 81. Seneca Valley’s Kennedy Johnston was ninth with an 85. Butler’s Hannah Folk tied for tenth with an 86.
–In the 2A championship, Maddie Smithco of Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic was the runner-up by one stroke with an 82.
Girls Soccer:
–Freeport-8 Valley-0. Sidney Shemanski scored five goals for the Yellow Jackets. Kaylee Comperatore scored twice. She now has 27 goals this season.
Freeport is now 9-0 in section-play and 12-2 overall.
–Knoch-5 Gateway-2. Lauren Galbreath led the Knights with a hat trick.
–Pine-Richland-4 Butler-0.
–Seneca Valley-6 North Hills-0.

Girls Tennis:
–Sewickley Academy topped Knoch 4-1 in the Class 2A WPIAL Team Championships. Brooke Bauer of Knoch won the Knights lone game.
–North Allegheny won the 3A title 5-0 over Pine-Richland.
BC3 Volleyball:
–The Lady Pioneers defeated Pitt-Titusville 3-0. (25-11, 25-13, 25-20.) Mackenzie Craig had six kills. Brittany Bianco had 21-assists and five kills. Alexis Schmeider had 12-digs and four aces. BC3 is now 11-4 overall and 5-1 in conference-play.
The BC3 Golfers split a match Tuesday at Lake Arthur Country Club. The Pioneers fell to Westmoreland CCC, but topped Penn State-New Kensington. Their final regular season record is 13-2. They compete in the WPCC Tournament this weekend at The Links at Spring Church in Apollo.
