High School Sports Scores from Thursday:
The Moniteau golfers dominated yet another Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference “Mega-Match” Thursday. The Warriors remained undefeated with an 18-stroke win over Venango Catholic. Karns City finished fourth. AC Valley/Union finished sixth.
Moniteau’s Weston Kimmey was third overall with a 40. He currently holds a three-stroke lead in the overall season honors. Kolby Montgomery chasing Kimmey and shot a 42 yesterday.

Girls Golf:
Seneca Valley edged Butler 187-189. Lauren Mahany of Seneca Valley led all golfers with a 41. Maggie Feczko led Butler with a 46.
Boys Soccer:
Freeport defeated Shady Side Academy 1-0. Aaron Carley scored the game’s only goal. The game was ended in the second half due to lightning. Freeport is 2-0.
Knoch and Hampton tied at 0-0 in overtime.

Knoch and Riverside tied a 1-1 in overtime.

Girls Volleyball:
Butler defeated Mars 3-2. (sets of 25-20, 18-25, 20-25, 25-10 & 15-13). Emily Archer led Butler with 18 kills and 10 digs. Maria Lucas had 26 digs, four aces and three kills, Caitlin Martin had nine kills, 17 digs and one ace. Butler is now 2-0 and will compete in the Moon tournament Saturday before beginning section play next week. The Butler JV team also won 2-0.
