All of the WPIAL baseball playoff games were postponed until today because of poor field conditions.
The Knoch and Mars baseball teams will play their WPIAL Triple-A semi-final games today at Burkett Complex in Robinson Township. Mars (14-5) will meet Chartiers Valley (14-7) at 4:30pm. Knoch (14-6) will meet Blackhawk (17-4) at 7pm.
In the District-10 first round: Grove City defeated Erie Strong Vincent 8-2 and will meet Slippery Rock Thursday at Slippery Rock University.
In the WPIAL softball playoffs Monday:
In Triple-A: Thomas Jefferson defeated Knoch 3-2 with a walk-off run in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Defending Double-A champion Deer Lakes were eliminated by Laurel 1-0. The Freeport and South Park game was postponed until today and will be played at Hampton high school at 2pm.
In Single-A: Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic eliminated Western Beaver 16-5 in six innings. The face Chartiers Houston in the semi-finals tomorrow.
District-9 softball playoffs:
In Double-A: Redbank Valley defeated Karns City 11-3. Redbank Valley meets top-seed Moniteau tomorrow at Moniteau high school beginning at 1pm.
In Single-A: AC Valley defeated Smethport 7-5 and will meet top-seeded Dubois Central Catholic in the semi-finals Wednesday.
WPIAL boys volleyball Triple-A semi-finals tonight: Seneca Valley will face Penn-Trafford at Baldwin high school. The match begins at 7:30pm following the match between North Allegheny and Bethel Park.
In the Double-A semi-finals at North Allegheny high school tonight: Deer Lakes will meet Beaver County Christian at 6pm, followed by Ambridge and Montour.
