High school musical season around the Butler County area kicks off later this week with performances from several local schools.
“You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” opens at Karns City High School Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and continues Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Some tickets are still available at $10 each.
Seneca Valley will perform their all-school musical, “Something Rotten”, with shows beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, as well as 2 p.m. matinee shows Saturday and Sunday in the Seneca Valley Intermediate School Auditorium. Tickets for this PG-13 rated comedy are $12 and can be purchased through the Seneca Valley website.
The Mars Area School District will stage “Mary Poppins: The Broadway Musical” with 7:30 p.m. shows on Friday and Saturday, as well as a 1 p.m. matinee show Saturday in the Mars Auditorium. Reserved seating tickets are $15 with a portion of proceeds benefitting the Mars Planet Foundation. More information is available on the Mars district website.
Students at Knoch School District will perform their annual musical “Hello, Dolly!” this Friday and Saturday beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Knoch High School Auditorium along with a Sunday matinee at 2. Visit the Knoch School District website for more information about reserved seating $10 tickets.
North Catholic High School is staging “Chicago: Teen Edition” beginning Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and continuing with a Sunday matinee at 2:30 p.m. Tickets for this three hour performance are $12 for adults in advance online through the North Catholic website.
