Four western Pennsylvania high school teams will compete for state football championships this weekend in Hershey.
–Central Catholic will meet Parkland Saturday at 6pm in the Quad-A championship. Both teams are 14-1.
–Aliquippa will play Southern Columbia Saturday at Noon in the Double-A championship. Both teams are 15-0.
–Erie Cathedral Prep (14-1) will face Imhotep Charter (14-0) Friday at 7pm in the Triple-A title game.
–In the Single-A championship, Farrell (14-1) will meet Bishop Guilfoyle (15-0) Friday at 1pm.
In Division II football, Shepherd defeated Grand Valley 34-32 to reach the national championship game this weekend in Kansas. They will meet Northwest Missouri who eliminated West Georgia 38-23 Saturday in the other national semi-final. Shepherd defeated Slippery Rock in the national quarterfinals.
