Chocolate maker Hershey’s will try their hand at something other than chocolate…meat-based protein bars.
The 122-year-old company will start selling Krave bars in August, made from dried meats and a combination of other ingredients such as mangoes, cranberries and quinoa.
Hershey bills the new offering as an effort to keep up with Americans’ changing tastes. U.S. chocolate sales growth has slowed each year since 2010.
