A Pittsburgh man is in the Butler County Jail after he was found with over 100 stamp bags of heroin and a stolen gun during a traffic stop.
It happened yesterday at 2 a.m. on Whitestown Road near the Lyn-Mar Plaza, when state police attempted to pull over 28-year-old Stanford Russell Jr. for a traffic violation.
Russell pulled over and then fled on foot. He was apprehended by Butler Township Police a short time later—in which he told officers a false name.
After further investigation, police found a stolen semi-automatic pistol, 117 stamp bags of heroin, oxycodone pills, and marijuana.
Russell is in the Butler County Prison on $100,000 bond.
