Our area has received plenty of rain over the past week and because more is on the way this weekend, flood alerts have been issued.
The National Weather Service issued a Flood Watch in effect from Friday evening through Saturday afternoon for Butler and all surrounding counties.
An estimated 1 to 1.75 inches of rain could fall, which could cause localized flooding.
The heaviest rain is expected to arrive after midnight and taper off Saturday afternoon.
So far this month, over 5.5 inches of rain has been recorded in Butler County.
