An appeal will be heard today as to whether or not Butler football can be eligible for the postseason.
The PIAA Board of Directors will meet at 2 p.m. to discuss a WPIAL ruling that said Butler cannot play in the District 10 playoffs.
Butler decided to leave the WPIAL a couple of years ago and became an associate member of District 10 because the number of players fell to extremely low rates.
Last year, Butler made the D-10 Championship game. However, the WPIAL board voted last month to block the Golden Tornado from postseason play. That came despite the fact that the WPIAL initially granted Butler permission to play in District 10.
