The head of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education is resigning.
Daniel Greenstein announced he would be stepping down as chancellor effective October 11th.
Greenstein took the job in 2018 and helped oversee the merging of six universities, including Penn West University—which is composed of California, Clarion, and Edinboro.
System leaders praised his time as chancellor, saying they saw improved financial stability.
Enrollment increased last year, but overall declines in the student population remain.
