The ninth annual Silvester celebration will be held on New Year’s Eve in Harmony.
Though most New Year’s celebrations culminate with a midnight ceremony, Silvester will be on German time and see the ball drop in the town’s square at 6 p.m. on Dec. 31.
An afternoon of family activities will precede the ceremony, followed by a fireworks celebration.
Harmony was founded by Germans over 200 years ago.
