A unique celebration that rings in the New Year on German time is happening tonight in Harmony.
The annual Silvester takes place this evening starting around 3 p.m.
The Harmony Museum coordinates most of the activities including a Christmas tree toss in the museum’s parking lot that happens at 3 p.m.
A 5K begins a half hour later near the museum, followed by a one mile fun run.
The evening is capped off with a ball drop at 6 p.m. along with music and fireworks to coincide with the German New Year.
