Today- Tuesday, Dec. 12- marks the first day of Hanukkah, also known as the Festival of Lights.
It’s an eight-day observance that remembers the Jewish people’s struggle for religious freedom.
The annual Grand Menorah Parade will be held this evening in Pittsburgh followed by a festival with music and food.
The final night of Hanukkah (Tues, Dec. 19) will be celebrated with the lighting of a giant menorah in front of the Cranberry Township Municipal Center.
