A woman has been charged following an incident with a gun early Tuesday morning in the city of Butler.
Butler City Police officers heard a gunshot while on patrol shortly before 2 a.m. near the 300 block of West Diamond Street.
A group of four people on the porch of a residence in that area identified Brittany Green as the person responsible for the gunshot. Police found a 9mm semi automatic handgun on her and ammunition for it near her. Police allege that Green fired the gun into the air following a verbal argument with the consumption of alcohol.
Green was booked into the Butler County Prison on charges including felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor recklessly endangering another person.
