Dozens of local residents gathered to hear from the Republican candidate for Pennsylvania’s Governor on Thursday night.
Scott Wagner held a Town Hall meeting at the American Legion Post 474 in Zelienople and spent about an hour and a half discussing his plans and answering questions.
Wagner began by laying out the details of his recently announced education plan, which includes an additional $1 billion spent on education but with no new tax increases. Wagner also spoke about his plan to eliminate property taxes and balance the state’s budget.
“We’re going to get Pennsylvania’s taxes in order,” Wagner said Thursday. “We’re not going to play with taxes this year.”
Wagner came to Zelienople from Altoona and planned to return home to York, PA after the event. This was his eighth Town Hall since May.
