A Grove City woman is accused of allegedly planning to murder her husband.
Robin Uber, 55, was arrested Wednesday on charges she tried- and methodically plotted- to kill 55-year-old Jeffrey Uber.
State police say they started investigating Robin Uber in early September after she allegedly attempted to solicit help from another person to kill Jeffrey.
Robin allegedly offered to pay the unnamed person $1,000 in exchange for getting enough medication that could kill Jeffrey. Robin allegedly said she planned to commit the crime in mid-October.
Robin also allegedly said if she were to poison her husband, she would need something that wouldn’t show up in his blood, and that she had been using rubber gloves when touching her husband’s current medication in an effort to not leave her fingerprints.
“She (Robin) explained that she would pay anybody to help her kill her husband and proceeded to state that she went to New Castle in which she attempted to pay two individuals to kill her husband, however, they rejected her offer. At one point, she became angry and stated “I’m gonna tell you what, I could off this whole (expletive) Uber family and it wouldn’t (expletive) bother me,” according to a police criminal complaint filed in the Mercer County Court System.
District Judge Neil McEwen arraigned Uber on Wednesday charges of solicitation and conspiracy to commit the crimes of first-degree murder and aggravated assault, and criminal use of a communication facility.
