A teenager from Grove City has been charged with Disorderly Conduct for allegedly starting a false rumor.
According to Grove City Police, the 17-year-old male made comments to another student that there had been a school shooting at Grove City High School at 9 a.m. last Monday (11/21).
This untrue statement was then spread around the Grove City and Lakeview School Districts as well as the Mercer County Career Center.
Police say that the rumor caused disruption and alarm to the school environment which resulted in the charge.
