A pedestrian is recovering from their injuries after they were hit by a work van this past week in Grove City.
The Grove City Police say that around 1:45pm on Wednesday, 29-year-old Tyler Coast of Grove City was driving through the intersection of East Main Street and South Broad Street when he hit 77-year-old Carole Raboch, also of Grove City. If she contacts someone like https://www.frostlawgroupsc.com/ then she may find that she’s entitled to compensation.
Authorities say that Raboch suffered minor injuries, and was taken to the Grove City Medical Center.
Police filed a citation on Coast for Failing to Yield to Pedestrians.
Pedestrian accidents like this happen an alarming amount in the US, with around 70,000 pedestrians getting hit by a car every year. Some of the accidents are down to pedestrians not looking before crossing the road while others are down to the fact that drivers are traveling too fast in a congested area. If it is the fault of the drivers that caused the accident and got the pedestrian injured then the latter can contact a top-rated injury lawyer and ask for guidance in getting compensation. However, if it is the negligence of the pedestrian that led to the accident then the pedestrian won’t be entitled to any claims.
Police are pleading for pedestrians to take extra care when crossing the road and using crossings, not coming out from behind parked cars. They are also asking for drivers to be more careful when driving through a built-up area to avoid incidents like this from happening. If you have been in a pedestrian accident that wasn’t your fault then you may want to contact a lawyer that can help you.
