A local volunteer organization donated $750 Thursday to the Butler City Police K-9 program.
Members of the Butler Area Street Machine Association presented the check to K-9 Officer Blade and his handler Butler City Police Officer David Villotti. The city’s K-9 program is funded solely by donations.
The street machine association raises money through car cruises and raffles. They have been around for 35 years. In 2015, they were able to award $3,000 to various charities, including the Butler Food Cupboard and the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
