A large group of community members have come together to plan the future of the Butler Area School District.
Superintendent Dr. Brian White invited students, parents, school board members, administrators, faculty and staff to help develop the district’s strategic plan for the next five years. The group met all day Wednesday and Thursday at the Butler Township Park Building.
Friendly and passionate discussion has resulted in the creation of a mission statement as well as measurable and observable ways to fulfill the objectives of that statement. According to White, this kind of engagement and active planning is an important part of the district being able to realize educational goals.
The plan will be presented publicly in its final form at the regular school board meeting on Monday, Nov. 20.
