An event to celebrate a well-known weather predicting rodent will be held Thursday at Moraine State Park.
A Ground Hog Stomp will take place from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday (2/2) on the park’s South Shore.
This event will include a fun hike on a scenic section of the Hilltop Trail. Weather conditions and personal preference will determine the distance and difficulty. Snowshoes will be available to borrow if more than four inches is on the ground.
Participants are advised to dress for the weather. No actual ground hogs will be stomped.
