Attorneys for Green Party candidate Jill Stein are headed to federal court Monday, seeking a recount of Pennsylvania’s presidential vote.
Stein’s lawyers sought a recount in Commonwealth Court but when a judge demanded a million-dollar bond to continue the case, they withdrew the suit.
Attorney Jonathan Abady will try to convince a US District judge in Philadelphia to order a recount and forensic audit of voting machines, on the grounds a foreign power could have involved itself in the election.
Lawrence Tabas- an attorney for the Republican Party- dismissed the claims as meritless and absurd.
The state is set to choose its presidential electors a week from Tuesday.
