Governor Tom Wolf was on this side of the state Wednesday talking about what is now the longest budget stalemate in state history.
The governor defended his call for higher taxes while speaking in Washington County. But he also said he is willing to compromise, but Republicans refuse.
Social service agencies and school districts are now feeling the crunch of the stalemate. At least 17 districts have borrowed money and funds have also been withheld from foster care, meals on wheels, food banks and domestic violence services.
