In the wake of the attacks in Paris, Governor Tom Wolf is calling on all Pennsylvanians to remain vigilant.
Officials say security efforts continue as usual in Pennsylvania, with perhaps some slight differences.
“We’re doing what we can to make sure the citizens of Pennsylvania are safe,” Wolf said over the weekend. “Officials assure me that there is no imminent threat to Pennsylvania.”
The governor says you may notice some additional security measures.
“You may notice some difference but we are an open society and we want to continue to enjoy the benefits of being an open society,” Wolf said. He noted additional security measures were in place at Sunday’s Steelers and Eagles football games and will continue at NHL games this week.
While some governors have said they would not allow Syrian refugees in their states, Governor Wolf says as long as they are properly vetted by the feds, Pennsylvania should open its doors.
Pa. residents are urged to report any suspicious activity to law enforcement.
