Today is Flag Day, which means government offices and some businesses are closed.
The Butler County Government Center, Annex Building, Courthouse and municipal courts are closed. The Butler City Building is closed.
Flag Day is not an official federal holiday, so mail will still be delivered and most banks are open.
The Butler County Parks and Recreation Department Office will be open to sell pool passes, rent shelters and take camp registrations. The Alameda Gators will also hold their first swim meet of the summer at Alameda Waterpark, which will close to the public at 5 p.m.
June 14 is the day the Continental Congress adopted the American flag in 1777.
