A lot of people answer that question with ‘no’ these days… and it’s been affecting Pennsylvania’s dairy industry.
State Agriculture Secretary Russel Redding says while the consumption of fluid milk has indeed declined, he sees opportunities for growth when it comes to other dairy products such as ice cream, yogurt and cheese.
The Agriculture Department says $5 million included in this fiscal year’s budget is aimed at spurring investment and innovation in the state’s dairy industry.
