Anyone who wins a race over the next four weeks will be assured of a post-season berth provided they end the regular season among the top thirty in points. Chase spots will be assigned to the sixteen top eligible drivers based on race wins. If there are fewer than sixteen race winners in that group, then the field will be filled based on the regular-season point standings. The five highest-placed non-winning drivers today are Jamie McMurray, Paul Menard, Jeff Gordon, Ryan Newman and Clint Bowyer – who leads Aric Almirola by fifty points for what would be the final spot on The Chase Grid.

The X-Finity Series is set for its fourth “stand-alone” race of the season, Saturday’s Nationwide Children’s Hospital 200 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

Corey McPherson is leading the Sportsman Division. The closest race is A.J. Flick leading Brent Matus by 26 points in the Sprints.
