The Chairman of the Butler County Republican Committee is asking Pennsylvania’s governor to advance attorney William “Wink” Robinson to the Butler County Court of Common Pleas bench.
Attorney Al Lindsay recently sent a letter to Governor Tom Wolf pointing out that since Robinson won both the Republican and Democratic primary elections in May, it appears highly likely that he will be elected in the upcoming general election and appointed in January.
Lindsay points out that waiting until then to advance Robinson would increase the current backlog of cases and further delay speedy trials for many Butler County residents.
Butler County has had a vacancy on the bench since Judge Marilyn Horan was appointed to the bench in late 2018. Lindsay plans to hold a press conference later this morning in order to answer any questions about his letter.
