Good Friday and Passover don’t always coincide–but this year, they do.
As Christians around the world mark Good Friday and Easter weekend, Jews begin the celebration of Passover at sundown Friday evening. Passover commemorates the Exodus of the Jewish people from captivity in Egypt to the promised land of Canaan.

The Butler County Family YMCA is hosting its annual Good Friday Breakfast on Friday morning. This is the 69th year for the event, which begins at 8 a.m. inside the Butler YMCA on North Washington Street in the city of Butler. This is a nondenominational, faith-based gathering which includes prayer, hymns and Scripture readings. There will be a buffet-style breakfast. Tickets are available at the door.
