The public is invited to participate in an activity later this week to benefit a great local cause.
The Friends of the Saxonburg Police and Community One Public Safety Training Initiative (COPS-1) are teaming up to hold the second annual Chief Greg Adams Memorial Golf Scramble Friday at Saxon Golf Resort.
A noon shotgun start will kick off the event which will include competitions with prizes as well as a silent auction, lunch, and a catered dinner. Chief Adams was with the Saxonburg Borough Police for seven years before he was killed during a traffic stop in 1980.
The cost to join in is $100 per person with proceeds benefitting local police training and equipment needs. To register or for more information, visit the COPS-1 website.
