Local young girls are speaking out to help end the stigma surrounding mental illness.
An event titled ‘Believe In Yourself’ will be held on Sunday evening from 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. on Main Street in Saxonburg. It was organized by the 2017 Petite, Little, Junior and Miss Saxonburg title holders.
Following a walk, there will be several speakers, including Saxonburg Mayor Bill Gillespie and Butler County Commissioner Kevin Boozel.
Organizers say several issues will be discussed including bullying, depression and addiction. The public is encouraged to attend.
