A Gibsonia restaurant was hit with a consumer alert for violating health codes.
Emiliano’s Mexican Restaurant & Cantina off Route 8 in Richland Township was cited by the Allegheny County Health Department for holding numerous foods at unsafe temperatures and for a malfunctioning main refrigeration unit.
The restaurant was inspected on Tuesday. According to the inspector’s report, several pans of cooked chicken, ground beef, beans and cheese sauce were stored inside a walk-in fridge that was nearing 50 degrees.
The restaurant’s manager said the refrigerator has been repaired. Another inspection was done on Wednesday and the restaurant did pass.
