Supermarket chain Giant Eagle has announced it will offer buyouts to 340 corporate employees, or 1 percent of its total workforce.
Employees such as cashiers and baggers are not affected by the job cuts.
Officials say falling food prices and increased competition from discount grocers have led to the decision.
Giant Eagle has 34,000 employees in more than 420 locations.
