For the second week in a row, local gas prices have decreased across the region and remained steady here in Butler.
According to AAA’s weekly fuel survey, prices in Butler for a gallon of regular, self-serve are continuing to average $3.11. That’s the same price as last week and three cents lower than the week before that.
Prices across western Pennsylvania are down by three cents this week, averaging $3.09.
Nationally, AAA says 44 states have less expensive or steady gas prices compared to last Monday. But, analysts don’t expect the cheaper prices to last as demand increases and inventories decrease in the weeks ahead.
