Gas prices have remained steady over the past week, but drivers are still paying a premium price at the pump.
The average price for a gallon of unleaded self-serve is at $3.60 in Butler County—that’s up a penny compared to last week.
The average across Western PA is $3.62.
AAA says the main culprit is the high cost of crude oil, which is staying above $90 per barrel.
They also cite moderate winter weather and optimism about the pandemic as other reasons for the surge in prices.
