Area gas prices keep plummeting as we head towards fall.
AAA East Central says the average price of a gallon of regular, unleaded, self-serve in Western Pennsylvania dropped six cents this week to $2.51.
Average prices in Butler are a bit higher, but still down, at $2.54.
The national average is $2.39. AAA says drivers traveling for Labor Day saw the lowest national average gas prices in more than a decade.
