Marcellus Shale impact fee money has been awarded to help with housing in Butler County.
A grant of $275,000 will be provided to the Butler County Acquisition/Rehab Program by the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency.
This program will use the money to purchase properties throughout the county and rehabilitate them to provide affordable rental housing.
Proceeds from those rental payments will then be used to cover property expenses as well as acquire and fix additional rental housing properties.
