Butler City Council will be approving a contract Thursday night with the company that will install an automated gate system in their new parking garage.
PSX Incorporated submitted the winning bid of just over $177,000 for the construction of gates, pay stations and kiosks in the Centre City garage downtown. Two bids were received and $200,000 was budgeted for that expense.
Installation is expected three weeks after the agreement is signed and a five year warranty is included with the price PSX bid.
PSX is based in Philadelphia and has 45 years experience providing automatic gates and other parking lot equipment to facilities like UPMC in Pittsburgh.
