The Pennsylvania Game Commission is reminding residents of an upcoming deadline to submit wild turkey sighting reports.
The July and August survey has ended and participants are asked to file reports of wild turkeys observed during that time period through the Game Commission’s website.
An above average reproductive season last summer combined with a lower harvest last fall resulted in more turkeys available to breed this spring.
Sighting location information is not shared or stored. Instead it is used to help determine productivity in each Wildlife Management Unit.
The deadline for reporting is this Monday, September 5th.
