The Pennsylvania Game Commission is asking motorists to be aware of increased deer-related activity near roadways.
Due to a variety of factors, including the lead up to breeding season and active feeding leading up to the winter, many drivers are likely to encounter deer.
Also, the end of Daylight Savings time on Nov. 6 frequently leads to more deer encounters due to more vehicles on the road around the hours of dawn and dusk.
Game Commission tips include slowing down when anything looks suspicious and not assuming that deer will act in a predictable manner. Deer usually travel in family groups and walk single file, so where one is crossing, there is a strong likelihood of more.
