The Pennsylvania Game Commission is offering an extra incentive to those who report wildlife crimes.
Cabela’s, the nationwide retailer of hunting, fishing and outdoor gear, is donating $50 gift cards that the commission will use as rewards for those making tips in Operation Game Thief.
Operation Game Thief is an effort to encourage people to report poaching of deer, bears, turkeys, elk or protected species. The program has been successful since it began in September of last year and game commission officials hope that the gift cards lead to more success.
