The Pennsylvania Board of Game Commission will be meeting later this week in Harrisburg to discuss the purchase of land throughout the Commonwealth including in Butler County.
Board Commissioners will meet Friday at their Harrisburg office beginning with staff presentations. Listed on the agenda is a proposal to purchase around 660 acres of land from Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, Inc. The land is located in Cherry and Clay Townships.
The mostly forested area would be bought for just over $1.1 million and is connected to the current state game land No. 95.
Public comment will be available starting at 11 a.m. and be on a first come first serve basses with registration beginning at 8 a.m.
