The Pennsylvania Game Commission is trying to trap a sick bear that’s wandering around Kittanning.
The bear is believed to have a case of mange, which is a skin condition caused by parasites that cause the bear to lose its hair. It can be itchy and painful…and it can spread to others animals and even humans.
The commission has set up a trap in the hope of capturing the bear. Bears with mange can be treated and recover, but if it’s missing too much hair it will be euthanized.
